MILLER, SD - The 2009 race season continued to wind down at Miller Speedway during a cool but sunny and still evening Friday night.

The WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature was the race of the night, as Rod Gross, an off an on racer during the past 20 years, had a career night. He held off point leader Kevin Bliese through multiple restarts before finally losing his grip on the lead with two laps to go.

Bliese won over Gross, Alex Guthmiller, Cody Stotz, Dave Brooker, and Lorin Johnson. Guthmiller lost his third place finish, however, when he left the claim area too soon.

It was Bliese's 17th feature win an added another six points to his lead over Johnson, as he seeks his first ever career point title at Miller.
